SCHOLARSHIP OPTIONS

Scholarship Options

Big Shoulders Fund
Provides funds for students who wish to attend one of Chicago’s Catholic high schools.

Daniel Murphy Scholarship • Apply
Provides full tuition and support for a four-year parochial or independent high school student.

HFS Chicago Scholars • Apply
Provides financial assistance to attend top private high schools in Chicago.

High Jump
Provides mentoring and supplemental instruction during middle school beginning in 5th/6th grade for motivated students who demonstrate financial need. Many students become scholars or attend selective enrollment schools.

High Sight • Apply
Awards partial, four-year scholarships for eighth graders to attend private Chicago high schools.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships and related support services to Latino students.

Horizons for Youth • Apply
Assists children from low-resource areas achieve success in both school and in life through scholarships, a summer academic program, one-on-one mentoring, enrichment outings, tutoring, counseling, and high school and college preparation services.

Link Unlimited
Provides full scholarship funding for African‐American males who wish to attend parochial or independent high schools.

Peak Chicago
Provides opportunities for at-risk youth to achieve academic and personal success through a quality, values-based education and the guidance of caring adult mentors.

Scholarship Requirements
  • Students must submit an application during the fall of their 8th grade year (5th/6th grade for High Jump)
  • Students are chosen based on academic performance, non‐academic activities, and financial need
  • Students must write a statement of interest, submit letters of recommendation, and undergo an interview process
