As summer is in full swing, we’re taking a moment to reflect on and celebrate the incredible 2024–25 school year at CICS Irving Park—a year defined by connection, creativity, and community. From academic success to joyful traditions, this year was a powerful reflection of our strong community and unwavering commitment to student growth.

We were thrilled to be recognized as one of the highest-ranked schools in our area, a testament to the dedication of our educators, the hard work of our students, and the partnership of our entire school community. This recognition reflects not only academic success, but the vibrant, supportive culture we’ve built together.

One of the year’s most memorable moments was the Puma Prowl, a school-wide celebration that brought our entire community together to walk through our community. The energy, spirit, and joy on display that day captured everything that makes Irving Park special—from our students’ enthusiasm to our families’ cheering them on!

Another standout moment was our CommUNITY event, made possible through the BOWS grant. This powerful celebration brought together families, local partners, and school staff to uplift civic collaboration through art. It was a true reflection of our commitment to building meaningful connections and ensuring every family feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Throughout the year, we also deepened student voice, strengthened social-emotional learning, and expanded opportunities for students to lead and thrive. Whether in classrooms, clubs, or community events, our Pumas showed up with curiosity, kindness, and courage. Thank you to our families, staff, and students for making the 2024–25 school year one to remember. Here's to a restful, fun-filled summer—and to an even brighter year ahead!
